November Update

About my week…

Well, I did it again.  It’s been a month since my last entry.  I’ll be honest, I’m surprised and honored that anyone still reads my blog anymore.  I swear, I’m going to try to be better.  In my defense, it’s been a busy month for me.  I finished the rough draft of Dragon’s Flame, I’ve been working on papers and tests for my Psy 314 class, and I got a new job!
I finally gave in and applied to retail stores.  I now work at my local Meijer, and, to be honest, I like it pretty well.  Maybe it’s cause it’s just been my first week, or because the only other work I’ve done is fast food, but I really enjoyed my first week there.  Right now
I’m just stocking stuff and helping people find things, and that’s what I hope I’ll be doing for a while.  I’ve only worked two sections-Hardware and Toys-and I definitely am way better at working the toy department.

About my writing…

So, as I mentioned before, I finished the rough draft of Dragon’s Flame.  It still needs some heavy editing, but I am very happy with how the story turned out.  It will not be working on it until December, when my project for class is done, so it will have plenty of time to breathe until then.
Now, that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on anything.  I have officially started Lost, book three of The Lost and Found.  I’ve got a rough outline down, plus a couple of locations set.  I am so excited for you guys to meet Emma.  She’s the kind of girl I would have loved to have been, but never had the guts.  This book is going to be so different from the other two, but in a good way.  The goal is to have it published in August, before the first book signing in Corbin, KY.
Also, update on my decision to tinkle with Stolen.  So, I did some searching, but I could not find any notes from before Finding Grace.  While I swear that there must be some, I can not find them, therefore no proof that there was a different beginning.  But I truly feel that giving the first half a make over will give the story more fullness, more depth, and it’ll just be better.
So, if any of my readers have read Stolen, what do you think?  Do you feel like there’s story missing?  That it could be better?
